Athens/ Volos 16-04-2009. As part of its social responsibility efforts RSEnergy has handed over a report developed for the SOS children village in Vari Greece.
The report "Towards a sustainable future - CO2 reduction in the SOS village in Vari" presents the vision of the first CO2 neutral SOS village in Greece. Selected energy efficiency projects and green solutions are described allowing the SOS children village to reduce its CO2 emissions caused by electricity consumption by 46,5%. Thereby a total of 65.000kg of CO2 emissions can be avoided every year. Among the green solutions proposed are photovoltaic sun pergolas, a sunny tree, several on-roof installations and an Airdolphin wind generator.
